We have always found that early-stage companies have a great appetite for true innovation. By working in close partnership with entrepreneurs, or with venture firms funding their efforts, fuseproject is able to impact brand, product and business evolution at a foundation level, providing a very effective design-driven strategy for success from the very early days in the overall trajectory.

While the economic model here is simple - we reduce our standard fees, mark the reduction as an investment, and seek ROI on that investment via royalties and equity - the specifics of each Partnership are customized for the needs of the endeavor at hand. Each Partner company has a unique set of targets, goals and challenges, and we structure each engagement such that every facet is a fuel for meeting them.

For the fuseproject team, this enables a much wider variety of collaborations with a much broader set of firms. This is, of course, a source of great creative challenge and inspiration.

For our Partners, the model enables several points of value: the ability to limit initial capital expense and work with a design firm that might otherwise be too costly, and the ability to truly partner with that firm in a situation of shared risk and aligned long-term goals. In the Partnership model, fuseproject can also bring to bear a vast network of engineering, production, manufacturing, public relations, media, press, retail, distribution and funding contacts that prove invaluable to the early stage entrepreneur.
